Students will be working with clients on an individual basis with direct weekly supervision. After a period of observation, shadowing and education, students will handle a small case load of individual and couples counseling. This will include maintenance of case notes and all other administrative documentation. Students will be provided with weekly supervision along with some group supervision. Students will have the opportunity to assist with psycho-education within the agency. Grace counseling does have a spiritual component along with several different counseling modalities. The student will need to have either Friday or Saturday available for supervision and conducting counseling sessions. Students must be in their second year of a Masters program in counseling or social work. The internship is provided through Grace Counseling and Grace Community Church Tempe, Arizona.
